Lightweight evacuation mechanism MEL-1 The MEL-1 is designed for towing (evacuation) of various types of vehicles to the maintenance area – faulty wheeled vehicles, including those without one or both wheels.
The vehicle can be moved by lifting the front or rear wheel axle, with fixation by the wheels or a beam. The MEL-1 is mounted to the truck frame using standard mounting points.
The body of the mechanism has a retractable hydraulic boom, on which a swivel traverse with sliding gripping units is mounted. It is possible to tow vehicles with any track and wheel size.
It also includes an oil station, a hydraulic cylinder control unit and an electric winch mounted on the rear panel of the MEL-1 to work with vehicles that cannot be approached within the grip distance.
